Travertine
Travertine is a special and attractive type of limestone whose fibrous, marble-like texture and colors similar to the color of the earth have made this stone one of the most popular stones for use in building materials.
In the past, this stone was mostly used in architecture and works of art from the mountains of Italy, but today the most sold travertine comes from Turkey, Iran, Mexico and Peru.
The most important classification of travertine
– Polished : In this classification, the stones are very shiny, because the stone is polished to the maximum smoothness and completely sealed, this is the best option to prevent stains, but it is very slippery if wet with water.
Bush-Hammered : This classification is slightly matte and is less soft and slippery than polished stone. This group is the most popular stone for building floors.
– Tumbled : In this category, the corners and edges of the stone are rounded and have an old and antique look.
– Brushed : In this method, a wire brush is used to make the surface of the stone matte.
Travertine can be seen in cream, lemon, brown, yellow, gray, black and white colors and they are completely random with veins or without veins.

Applications of travertine

In most cases, travertine stone is used for the facade of the building inside and outside and for paving the floor.

But granite is a type of igneous rock that is among the hardest natural stones and is used in different places due to its resistance to pressure and high durability. Granite stones are made of feldspars, mica and other minerals. The colors and compactness of granite make it an ideal stone.
